Neurosurgeons from Almaty took an active part in the 19th World Congress of the World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies (WFNS 2025), held from December 1 to 5, 2025, in the United Arab Emirates. The event brought together more than 1,800 participants from 130 countries, including leading neurosurgical experts from the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, Japan, France, Italy, as well as representatives from the Middle East, Asia, and CIS countries.

The Congress was organized by the Emirates Neurosurgical Society, and its central theme was “Shaping the Future of Neurosurgery.” The scientific program included plenary sessions, academic discussions, interactive workshops, and demonstrations of innovative techniques and advanced surgical technologies.

International experts expressed strong interest in the experience of their Kazakhstani colleagues, noting the significant progress achieved in national neurosurgery. Within the framework of the Congress, discussions were held on further clinical and scientific cooperation, implementation of joint projects, and exchange of professional experience.
