As part of the development of international academic and scientific cooperation, the Department of Cardiology of Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University (KazNMU) was visited by Visiting Professor Mario Marzilli, Professor and Head of the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine, and Director of the Postgraduate Cardiology Institute, University of Pisa, Italy.
The visit took place from February 28 to March 4, 2024. During his stay, Professor Marzilli delivered lectures and conducted a series of seminars for students and residents, as well as implemented a training program on “Diagnosis and Management of Patients with Ischemic Heart Disease”, attended by over 50 cardiology residents, doctoral, and master’s students.
Following the visit, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Department of Cardiology at KazNMU, the clinical base – JSC “Research Institute of Cardiology and Internal Diseases”, and the Postgraduate Cardiology Institute of the University of Pisa. The memorandum aims to develop joint educational and clinical initiatives, promote collaborative research and publication in high-ranking international journals, and conduct joint scientific studies.
