On December 12, 2025, a round table titled “Challenges in the Treatment of Patients with Acute Cerebrovascular Disorders in the Almaty Region” was held at the Almaty Multidisciplinary Clinical Hospital.
During the round table, participants discussed issues of timely diagnosis, patient transportation, and effective treatment methods for various types of stroke.
Invited participants included Deputy Medical Directors, heads of outpatient clinics, and staff of stroke centers and inpatient neurological departments providing care to this category of patients.

To discuss organizational issues of stroke centers in the Almaty Region, current aspects of stroke patient management, the role of early rehabilitation, and to exchange practical experience among members of a multidisciplinary team.

During the event, presentations were delivered on organizational aspects of stroke centers in the Almaty Region, clinical aspects of stroke, principles of early patient mobilization, and neurosurgical care.
Special attention was given to rehabilitation in intensive care settings, issues of verticalization, and prevention of contractures, pressure ulcers, and aspiration complications.
Participants discussed the importance of an individualized approach to each patient, the need for continuity in the rehabilitation process, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Clinical cases were presented demonstrating successful patient recovery following pathogenetic treatment (thrombolytic therapy) and early initiation of rehabilitation.

Conclusion
The round table demonstrated the high relevance of stroke and rehabilitation issues. The discussion facilitated experience sharing, enhanced the professional competence of participants, and contributed to the development of a unified approach to stroke patient management at all stages of treatment and recovery.
