In February 2024, a new department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine N 2 was opened at our University, focused on training residents in their specialty and on conducting advanced training cycles for already working anesthesiologists and intensive care specialists. This was the next stage in improving the level and quality of training of specialists in the most complex and in-demand medical specialty. Since the beginning of this academic year, the Course of Pediatric Anesthesiology and Intensive Care at the Department of Pediatric Surgery has been opened. The department was headed by associate professor Chursin V.V., who has experience in training residents for more than 10 years with a total teaching experience of 30 years.
Professor Kozhakhmetov A.N., associate professors Berdalina G.S., Batyrkhanova S.B., Adilbekov E.A. and assistants Batyrova A.N., Makarevich E.N., Tulekhanova S.Zh. also work at the department.
Since the opening of the department, the pedagogical process has been optimized – the principle of unity of theoretical and practical training is implemented, regular monitoring of the development of theoretical knowledge and the intensity of mastering practical skills by residents has been introduced into the pedagogical process. The unity of pedagogical and therapeutic work of the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care No. 2 is ensured, which are focused on optimizing intensive care methods in patients with sepsis and multiple organ dysfunction, optimizing infusion therapy in critical conditions. Much attention is paid to the modern equipment of the basic departments of anesthesiology and intensive care and the development of modern approaches to intensive care, in particular artificial lung ventilation.
Today, the clinical bases of the department are the largest clinics in Almaty- The Central City Clinical Hospital, City Emergency Hospital, City Clinical Hospital N. 4, City Clinical Hospital N. 7, City Cardiology Center,Kazakh Scientific Research Institute of Oncology and Radiology.
